Job summary

Premier Group Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who can independently manage complex accounting engagements, lead recurring close and reporting activities, and serve as a reliable technical resource for clients and team members.

This role is designed for an experienced accountant who understands the full accounting cycle and can move beyond task completion to reviewing financial results, identifying issues, improving processes, and helping less-experienced staff succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA license or active candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience; governmental/nonprofit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis.
• Experience reviewing staff work and giving feedback.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal financial reporting schedules, analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, and documentation.
• Perform complex monthly/quarterly reconciliations across GL, Treasury, and grant accounts.
• Research unreconciled balances and financial discrepancies.
• Support federal financial statement prep and reporting requirements.
