Job summary

Premier Group Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage complex engagements, lead recurring close and reporting, and serve as a reliable technical resource.

This role is designed for an experienced accountant who understands the full accounting cycle, can review financial results, improve processes, and mentor staff. The position is part-time (20-25 hours weekly) with remote work and potential transition to full-time after a 90-day period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting, outsourced accounting, governmental, nonprofit, or professional-services experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with grants, governmental accounting, federal awards, or 2 CFR Part 200 is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal financial reporting schedules, analyses, reconciliations, entries, variance explanations, and documentation.
• Perform complex reconciliations across GL, Treasury, payroll, grants, and fund accounts.
• Research and resolve unreconciled balances and discrepancies.
• Support federal financial statement prep and reporting requirements with schedules.
• Assist grant financial management, drawdowns, and 2 CFR 200 compliance.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and respond to auditors and clients.
