Premier Group Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage complex engagements, lead close and reporting, and serve as a technical resource for clients and team members.

The role emphasizes reviewing results, improving processes, and mentoring less-experienced staff. The position supports a full accounting cycle, including reviewing financials, and offers remote work with 20–25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting or finance.
• CPA license or active candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Experience reviewing staff work and giving feedback.
• Advanced Excel; experience with large data sets.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review federal financial reporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Manage complex monthly/quarterly reconciliations across GL, payroll, grants.
• Research and resolve unreconciled balances and discrepancies.
• Support federal financial statement prep and grant reporting.
• Analyze budget vs actuals, obligations, and funding availability.
• Monitor appropriations and expenditures; assist with grants compliance.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and respond to auditors.
• Lead with reviewing staff work and guiding junior accountants.
