Premier Group Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who can independently manage complex accounting engagements, lead recurring close and reporting activities, and serve as a reliable technical resource for clients and team members.

This role is designed for an experienced accountant who understands the full accounting cycle and can move beyond task completion to reviewing financial results, identifying issues, improving processes, and helping less-experienced staff succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting or governmental experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the full accounting cycle.
• Experience with grants, governmental accounting, federal awards, or 2 CFR Part 200 is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review federal financial reporting schedules, account analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, variance explanations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform complex monthly and quarterly reconciliations involving general ledger, Treasury, intragovernmental, suspense, and other fund accounts.
• Research and resolve unreconciled balances, abnormal balances, and aging items.
• Support federal financial statement preparation and reporting requirements and related schedules.
• Assist with monitoring appropriations, obligations, expenditures, and funding availability.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and respond to auditor requests with supporting documentation.
