BELAY, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to bridge day-to-day accounting with technical expertise and client-facing insights.

You will manage complex close activities, advise Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers, and collaborate with Controllers to ensure service delivery aligns with engagement scope. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, KPI analysis, and process improvement while supporting multiple client accounts in a fully remote role.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in client-service or outsourced accounting environments.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and related applications (e.g., BiLL, Gusto, Shopify, Amazon, Fathom, Cin7, or comparable platforms).
• Excellent communication skills and client service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a remote environment.
• High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

• Serve as the primary accounting escalation point for day-to-day client questions and complex transactions.
• Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters, financial results, and recommended actions within the engagement scope.
• Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting that helps clients understand business performance and key metrics.
• Review work produced by Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers for accuracy and adherence to processes.
• Support onboarding and transitions, ensuring consistency across client engagements.
• Collaborate with Accounting Managers and Controllers on accounting initiatives and special projects.
