Job summary

BELAY, Inc. is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant - Financial Solutions to prepare individual and business tax returns and support tax planning for BELAY clients. This remote role collaborates with the Tax team to deliver accurate tax services and client advisory support year-round.

The successful candidate will build technical tax knowledge, handle day-to-day tax matters, and participate in client meetings while maintaining work-life balance and sustainable workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting and tax preparation experience.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Foundational knowledge of federal and state tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, C corporation, S corporation, and partnership tax returns and supporting workpapers.
• Calculate tax extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments accurately.
• Conduct tax research to support client needs and tax positions.
• Assist with tax planning projects and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Assist with responses to notices and correspondence from IRS/state authorities.
• Manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines.
