Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking skilled SEN Caseworkers to join their SEND Service on a fully remote, 3-month rolling contract. You will manage a substantial statutory caseload across the 0-11 years and Preparing for Adulthood (PFA) pathways.

Responsibilities include overseeing EHC assessments, drafting and maintaining EHCPs, coordinating with education, health, and social care, and participating in Annual Reviews and tribunal preparations.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of experience in SEN Caseworker roles within a Local Authority SEND Team.
• Experience managing caseloads exceeding 250 cases.
• Experience coordinating 20-week EHC Needs Assessments from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statutory EHC assessments for individuals aged 0-25.
• Handle intricate SEND caseloads and adhere to statutory deadlines.
• Serve as the primary contact for parents, carers, schools, and professionals.
• Draft, revise, and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Coordinate input from education, health, and social care experts.
• Conduct Annual Reviews and amend EHCPs as needed.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for SEND Tribunals.
• Collaborate with SEN Managers to ensure compliance and quality.
