Job summary

Land O'Lakes seeks a Seed Sales Agronomist to be the local expert for seed products, training internal teams and retailers, and collaborating with Seed Portfolio Managers on forecasting local needs. The role supports on-farm trials and develops technical training materials for the assigned area.

The position is remote/virtual with a requirement to be located in Ohio, Northern Indiana, or Southern Michigan to partner directly with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture or business with 5+ years in the industry.
• Experience coaching, training and executing agronomic decisions.
• Understanding of seed crop growth and environmental factors affecting productivity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main resource for seed portfolio strategy, communication, and execution.
• Plan and lead local experiences, conferences, and training courses for internal staff and retailers.
• Oversee local on-farm trials, design Answer Plot demos, and collaborate on content delivery.
