Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. Seed Sales Agronomist is the local expert for WinField United teams, managing seed products and agronomy tools for Croplan/Armor and partners. You will train internal staff and retailers while partnering on forecasting local needs and on-farm trials.

This remote role requires living in Ohio, Northern Indiana or Southern Michigan to collaborate with customers; a strong background in agriculture and agronomy is essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field with 5+ years of industry experience.
Experience coaching, training and executing technical agronomic decisions, and educating others on agronomy products.
Understanding of seed crop growth and development and physiology for core crops relevant to geography and agronomic factors.

Responsibilities

50% Execute local training and communication plans for internal teams and retailers.
30% Develop local seed selling tools and integrate national messaging into training materials.
20% Conduct local needs assessments with seed portfolio managers and forecast production needs.
