Job summary

Expel is seeking a Security Solutions Engineer (SSE) to backstop their Customer Success organization with deep technical expertise. You will troubleshoot complex issues, author clear guidance, and collaborate across Security and Engineering to improve platform understanding and documentation.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in cybersecurity, strong problem-solving, and the ability to translate technical concepts for both engineers and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in cybersecurity or related troubleshoot/ops roles.
• Experience with security operations workflows and incident response.
• Familiarity with intrusion detection, SIEM, and cloud security concepts.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and attack lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation and knowledge resource for Customer Success teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with CSMs, TAMs, and TSEs to resolve challenges.
• Develop and maintain internal/external knowledge resources.
• Help CS teams answer technical questions independently and efficiently.
• Document trends and request types to guide improvements.
• Improve how requests are tracked, escalated, and resolved.
• Share expertise to promote continuous learning and collaboration.
