Job summary

Pearson is seeking remote scorers for English 6-12 assessment scoring. The role offers flexible remote work and a starting pay of $17.50 per hour, with training and weekday scoring sessions.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, current teaching certification in the subject area or equivalent college teaching experience, and be eligible to work in the United States. All scorers must be approved by the Florida Department of Education.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• A current teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for AND be practicing or have five (5) or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for.
• OR: Bachelor’s degree or higher AND hold/held a position at a college/university in the same subject area with at least 5 years of teaching experience in that subject.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
