Job summary

Pearson is seeking evaluators to score Georgia teacher licensure responses remotely. A bachelor’s degree and current teaching certification are required, with two years of recent public school experience or college faculty experience preparing candidates. Remote work and flexible scheduling are available.

This is an hourly scoring role with a stated pay of $21.50 per hour. Qualified applicants should be able to work Monday through Friday on a rotating schedule, maintain confidentiality, and meet

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• A current teaching certification in the subject area and be practicing or have two or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area.
• Or have recently served as a college/university/program faculty member who prepares candidates for the subject.
• Must not be a current Georgia educator.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Georgia teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring activities.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
