Pearson, the world's learning company, seeks evaluators to score Florida teacher candidates remotely. A bachelor’s degree and active teaching certification, with five years in the field, are required. This is a remote scoring role with the potential to impact the next generation of teachers.

Starting rate is $17.50 per hour, and scoring occurs on weekdays 8:30 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST. Training precedes scoring; sessions run Monday through Friday, one day every two weeks, with a fall 2026 start

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Current teaching certification in the subject area.
• Five+ years of teaching experience in a public school in the subject area.
• Experience at college/university level in the same subject area is acceptable.
• Active eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and engage with other scorers.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program.
• Start scoring at a rate of $17.50 per hour.
• Work remotely; training ahead of scoring; scoring sessions Mon–Fri, one day every two weeks.
