Job summary

Pearson is hiring remote scorers to evaluate responses for Florida teacher licensure exams. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and appropriate teaching credentials, with five years of relevant teaching experience, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Scoring occurs remotely with training and scheduled sessions; the starting rate is $17.50 per hour, and work is weekdays EST business hours. This position begins in fall 2026 and is not eligible for bonuses or benefits.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and a current teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for and five or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher, and hold or have held a position at a college, university or community college in the same subject area and have at least 5 years of teaching experience in the same subject area you will be scoring.
• All scorers must be approved to score by the Florida Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Florida teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in scoring activities.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test before scoring.
• Working remotely as a scorer and adhering to schedule.
