Qualifications

• Current teaching certification in the subject area and in-school teaching within the last three years (including substitute)
• Or educators from colleges/universities who taught or advised a content-relevant field in the last three years
• Or hold a degree in the content area and have worked in the content area in the last three years

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with other scorers in consensus scoring
• Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce personal biases in scoring
• Meet quality and productivity requirements for the scoring program, including passing a qualifying test
• Starting rate of $17.50 per hour
