Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Associate, Scoring Services to score Massachusetts teacher candidates remotely. You’ll evaluate responses, internalize scoring standards, and engage with scorers in consensus scoring to ensure quality.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or higher and a current teaching certification in the subject area (or equivalent college/university faculty experience), with eligibility to work in the United States. Remote work with a starting rate of $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with teaching certification in the subject area.
• Two or more years of recent public school experience in the subject area.
• Active or recently retired practitioners eligible to score.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring.
• Discuss bias types and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test.
• Starting rate of $17.50 per hour.
• Work remotely.
