Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Associate, Scoring Services to score Massachusetts teacher responses remotely. The role emphasizes evaluating exam answers, applying scoring standards, and maintaining confidentiality while meeting quality and productivity requirements.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, have a valid teaching certification in the subject area, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, and current teaching certification in the subject area and active teaching or two+ years of recent service in a public school in the subject area.
• Or college/university/program faculty member who prepares candidates for the subject.
• Or bachelor’s/master’s degree with graduate student currently teaching courses in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards, participate in discussions, and engage with other scorers in consensus scoring.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and discuss strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
• Rate of $17.50 per hour and working remotely.
