Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Associate, Scoring Services to remotely score Massachusetts teacher licensure responses and support the evaluation process. The role requires active subject-area credentials or related college/university teaching experience and adherence to scoring standards.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or higher, and teaching certification in the subject area you are applying for.
Two or more years of recent public school experience in the subject area.
Or college/university faculty member preparing candidates in the subject area.
Or bachelor’s/master’s degree and a graduate student currently teaching courses in the subject area.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Basic computer skills and ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate responses to test questions for Massachusetts teacher candidates.
Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring activities.
Recognize and discuss bias types and strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test.
Scoring sessions occur remotely, Monday–Friday, with variable hours.
