Pearson is hiring for an Associate, Scoring Services to score Massachusetts teacher candidates remotely. The role requires a degree plus teaching certification and relevant school experience, or college faculty background preparing candidates. eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Starting rate is $17.50 per hour with remote work options. Training and scheduling occur on weekdays, and scoring sessions may be scheduled 1–2 days every 4–8 weeks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, and a teaching certification in the subject area.
• Two or more years’ recent experience in the service role in a public school in the subject area you are applying for, or college/university faculty preparing candidates.
• Alternatively, hold a bachelor’s/master’s degree and be a graduate student teaching courses in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by Massachusetts teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in discussions with other scorers.
• Engage in consensus scoring and discuss biases to reduce personal bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements and pass a qualifying test before scoring.
• Work remotely.
