Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin seeks an access professional to welcome patient families to the CMG for appointment scheduling, serving as a liaison between families and clinics. The role reports to the CMG Contact Center Supervisor and collaborates with regional staff for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED/HSED required.
• Less than 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Related experience in a contact/call center setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, scheduling and office procedures preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional patient experience by assisting patients, families, providers and staff with access services and scheduling.
• Uses EPIC scheduling applications and queues to manage appointments, wait lists, registrations and communications.
• Registers patients and guardians with MyChart and secures necessary information.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and proper release of information.
• Enters registration data accurately and completes required checklists.
• Maintains proficiency with EPIC and related applications.
• Adheres to Ethics policies and organizational rules.
