Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an SCADA Engineer to design, develop, and deliver the SOLV SCADA solution for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and HV substations. Hybrid/remote options available with in-office in San Diego, CA or Bend, OR; exact location discussed at interview.

Responsibilities include designing SCADA components, integrating with PLCs, commissioning support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of SCADA engineering experience in renewable energy or utility scale PV/BESS/Wind.
• Proficiency with Python programming.
• Intermediate knowledge of Ignition SCADA by Inductive Automation.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Schweitzer RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson RX3i).
• Experience with SCADA networks: Fiber, RS-232/RS-485, Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA integration components and systems for renewable energy projects.
• Define and implement product design standards and best practices.
• Review project requirements and ensure contractual deliverables are met.
