Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a network and communications commissioning professional to support pre-commissioning and commissioning of SCADA systems for utility-scale solar projects.

This is a fully remote role with regular travel to various job sites across the United States. Candidates should have 3–5 years of commissioning experience and a solid background in solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and networking. The role emphasizes safety, NFPA/NEC compliance, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale solar power projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site-specific commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA, and SCADA teams to align commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests (performance, functional, reliability) of communications systems.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with NFPA/NEC, IEEE/IES, API standards and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports with test results and corrective actions.
