Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist for an enterprise-wide budgeting solution. The role is fully remote with minimal travel and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate ERP/GL/HR data with the new budgeting platform, and ensure secure, scalable data flows. You will work with SAP S/4HANA, SAC, HANA BW/4HANA, and BW/BODS, aligning data structures with business rules, validating data, and delivering reliable insights for the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on data integration, CDS View development, ETL, or data engineering experience.
• Proven expertise with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP HANA/SAP BW products.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and data quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load financial data into the budget solution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze source data and understand business rules.
• Create and manage data mappings; write CDS views and SQL to transform data.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshoot failures and optimize pipeline performance to meet SLAs.
• Document data flows, integration specs, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and client SMEs.
