Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting source financial systems to a new budgeting and forecasting platform. The role is 100% remote in the United States with travel<20% and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will bridge raw financial data to actionable insights, leveraging SAP SAC, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and BW/4HANA while ensuring data quality and secure data flow for enterprise-wide budgeting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficiency in CDS, SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for financial data.
• Source System Analysis: analyze SAP and government financial data structures and rules.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: write CDS/SQL to transform and validate data for the budget solution.
• Data Quality Assurance: implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: monitor jobs and optimize pipeline performance.
• Documentation: create data flow diagrams, specs, and SOPs.
