Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines linking source financial systems to the new budgeting platform. This full-time, 100% remote role involves working with ERP data, SAP ecosystems, and modern ETL/ELT techniques to ensure secure, accurate data movement.

You will collaborate with project teams, ensure data quality, and optimize performance to meet processing windows and SLAs. A Public Trust clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years in data integration, CDS View development, ETL, or data engineering.
• Proficient in CDS, SQL and relational databases (SAP HANA, SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with loading data into SAC/S4HANA source systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to explain to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from source systems to budget solution.
• Analyze source data from SAP S/4HANA and government financial systems.
• Create and manage data mappings; write CDS views and SQL scripts.
• Implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines to meet SLAs.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and SMEs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
