Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines connecting client source financial systems to the budgeting platform. The role is full-time, 100% remote with travel <20% and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will work across ETL/ELT, SAP HANA/SAC, CDS views, and data quality checks, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, accurate data flows and timely delivery of the budgeting solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on data integration, CDS View development, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Proficient with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP HANA, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data and load into the budget solution.
• Source System Analysis: Analyze data from SAP S/4HANA and other government financial systems to understand data structures and business rules.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: Create data mapping, write CDS views and SQL to transform, cleanse, and validate data.
• Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks, validation routines, and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Monitor jobs, troubleshoot failures, and optimize pipelines for performance SLAs.
• Collaboration: Work with project managers, solution architects, consultants, and client SMEs to align design with goals.
• Documentation: Maintain technical docs including data flow diagrams and SOPs.
