Job summary

McLane Co. is seeking a Sales Training Manager (Remote) to design, implement and refine comprehensive training programs for the sales team. You will align curricula with commercial objectives, oversee content development, and drive scalable learning through multiple modalities.

The role requires leadership, strong communication skills, and expertise in e-learning, LMS, Workday, and Salesforce. Travel up to 50% is expected as you partner with field teams to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, education, or a related field.
• Five+ years of experience in sales and training; strong knowledge of training and sales processes.
• Strong communications, organizational and leadership skills.
• Project management experience with effective outcomes.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
• Proficiency in e-learning and LMS.
• Experience with Workday and Salesforce for training programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perpetually develop and implement comprehensive sales training programs to include selling skills, product, business knowledge, objection handling, account planning, sales manager and new hire training.
• Create engaging training programs across Commercial teams with curricula, manuals, guides, presentations, and calendars for new hires and ongoing skill enhancement.
• Utilize diverse learning methodologies (e-learning, instructor-led, blended learning).
• Align training strategies with Sales leadership.
• Continuously assess and update training programs to meet needs.
• Conduct field travel with sales teammates to evaluate training effectiveness.
• Demonstrate leadership to influence others.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across business units for content development.
• Integrate new systems and technology into training, maintain libraries and databases.
• Stay current on market trends and best practices in learning and delivery.
• Manage performance of direct reports and develop trainers.
