Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a remote Sales Operations Specialist to act as a strategic partner for the sales organization. You will own data integrity, CRM governance, and reporting while driving process improvements across SOPs and workflows.

This role collaborates with Sales, Operations, and IT to automate and optimize revenue operations. The position emphasizes data-driven decision making, dashboard development, and cross-functional collaboration to support a national US sales footprint.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a closely related field.
• Deep understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM best practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Experience owning and managing SOPs—creating, maintaining, versioning, and communicating procedural documentation.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving, evolving environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, dynamic charts, Power Query, and macro development.
• Familiarity with automation tools or a strong appetite to learn (e.g., Salesforce workflows, Power Automate).
• Experience with project management tools and cross-functional collaboration.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to present findings to senior stakeholders.
• Salesforce experience strongly preferred; admin-level knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own data integrity, CRM hygiene, and the systems and tools that keep the revenue pipeline running smoothly.
• Process and close signed contracts in Salesforce; coordinate with Operations for handoffs to the implementation team.
• Design, build, and maintain sales performance reporting and dashboards with actionable insights.
• Govern the SOP repository; keep documentation current, version-controlled, and accessible.
• Translate strategy into updated, clearly documented procedures.
• Identify referenceable client accounts to support active sales cycles.
• Own daily and recurring reporting; surface trends, anomalies, and risks to sales leadership.
• Maintain organized filing and records for all sales operations documentation.
• Continuously audit workflows for inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
• Develop Excel-based tools and dashboards to reduce manual effort and accelerate reporting.
• Leverage automation within Salesforce, Excel, and Power Automate to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and IT to roll out improvements and update SOPs.
• Track and report the measurable impact of operational improvements.
