Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sales Engineer – Unmanned Systems to work with the Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to tailor solutions for customers. The role covers technical sales support, demonstrations, and field training across Silvus technologies, with a strong emphasis on traveling to customer sites and events.

This position reports to the Senior Sales Engineer, and remote work is possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years in pre/post-sales tech support.
• Or high school diploma with 6+ years in pre/post-sales tech support.
• RF instrumentation proficiency (signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support including system planning and training.
• Become an expert on Silvus radio and networking solutions and their competitive advantages.
• Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for customer visits and equipment evaluations.
• Visit customer sites to provide technical support and deliver training.
• Troubleshoot failures and assist development teams.
• Collect and analyze field failures and provide feedback to the development team.
• Assist design engineers to reproduce and troubleshoot problems.
• Support sales and business development activities and allocate resources.
