Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Sales Engineer to deliver tailored radio and networking solutions for defense and public safety customers. You’ll travel up to 50% to meet clients, demonstrate products, and support sales efforts while influencing product development.

The role requires a technical background, security clearance eligibility, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Remote work may be possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 6+ years of pre/post-sales experience with HS diploma.
• Proficiency with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including system planning and training.
• Become expert on Silvus radio and networking solutions and compare advantages over competing tech.
• Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for customer visits and equipment evaluations.
• Visit customer sites to provide technical support and deliver training.
• Troubleshoot field failures and assist development team with feedback.
• Support engineering with design verification and field testing.
