Job summary

Torq is seeking a Sales Engineer for our AI-native SecOps platform, based in the NYC metropolitan area with remote flexibility. You will partner with the sales team to translate complex cybersecurity needs into compelling technical demonstrations and tailored proofs of value.

You'll own pre-sales technical engagement, guide customers through POCs, collaborate with product and engineering, and help drive quarterly and annual sales targets in a fast‑growing security SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pre-sales/solutions engineering for a SaaS security product — SecOps, SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, or AI SOC.
• Hands-on use of AI tooling to build demo environments, POC assets, integrations, and custom workflows.
• Public Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) hands-on working knowledge.
• Fluency in the modern SOC operating model: triage, investigation, case management, Tier 1–3 workflows, MTTD/MTTR.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pre-sales technical expertise and sales engineering processes.
• Lead the Sales Engineering team and CRM usage to drive efficiency and targets.
• Partner with sales leadership to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations to customers and prospects to convey value.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ensure solutions meet client expectations.
• Represent Torq at conferences, forums, and industry events.
