Job summary

Thryv, a long-standing leader in local business automation software, is seeking an Outside Software Account Rep in Kansas City, MO. You will nurture relationships with existing software clients and prospect for new SaaS opportunities, maintaining engagement through structured cadences and product demos.

You will work primarily remote with an emphasis on field activity, collaborating with marketing and tech teams to advance sales strategies and drive quota attainment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct sales experience required (preferably in a SaaS role or company).
• 2+ years’ experience in outbound sales (full sales cycle) role required.
• Industry knowledge with the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the Thryv product suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong emotional intelligence, adaptability, and the ability to build relationships.
• Time and organization skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with competing schedules or conflicting demands.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment, effectively conducting sales presentations while following company established processes and procedures.
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new programs and systems.
• 50% driving requirement and valid drivers license.
• Must live local to the city of the job posting (within a 1-hour commute).

Responsibilities

• Increase Thryv’s penetration to the existing client base and grow the SaaS client base through new sales.
• Call on existing clients to nurture and grow relationships while identifying opportunities to meet quotas.
• Identify and secure new SaaS clients through self-generated prospecting and company programs.
• Execute defined operational processes and requirements with excellence (cadences, product demos, order entry, etc.).
• Participate in sales meetings, call calibrations, and training as needed.
