Job summary

Youriteams is seeking a Mid/Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a healthtech team focused on US market access to prescribed medicines. You will maintain a mature Rails monolith, ensure security for sensitive data, and implement features that speed patient delivery from prescription to home.

You'll design data models in PostgreSQL, build REST APIs and WebSocket endpoints, and participate in CI/CD pipelines. Fluency in English is required; Polish is a plus. Remote work offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years for mid role or 5+ years for senior role in Ruby on Rails.
• Strong PostgreSQL relational database design; familiarity with NoSQL, caching, and message brokers.
• Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and authentication methods (JWT, OAuth).
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker and Git workflows.
• Familiarity with testing (RSpec/Minitest) and automated testing practices.
• Ability to make scalable, secure architectural decisions and review AI-generated code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side features in a large Rails codebase.
• Design relational data models in PostgreSQL; integrate with MSSQL where required.
• Implement background processing with Sidekiq and ensure reliable job flows.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and WebSocket endpoints; implement secure authentication (JWT, cookie-based, OAuth).
• Write and maintain automated tests (Minitest or similar).
• Participate in architectural decisions for scalability and security.
• Use feature flags (LaunchDarkly) for safe releases; monitor errors via Sentry and analyze with Metabase.
• Review AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in English; participate in technical calls, demos, and requirements discussions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Docker, CI/CD) and operational improvements.
