Job summary

AnewHealth is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to advance our EHR platform using Ruby on Rails, spanning front-end and back-end layers. You will triage defects, develop new features, and optimize SQL queries in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Ruby on Rails experience, solid SQL skills, and exposure to healthcare data handling, PHI, and interoperability standards. Remote work is supported with collaboration across product, QA, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional Ruby development experience.
• Strong SQL skills with complex queries and optimization.
• Experience with healthcare software, PHI handling, and HIPAA basics.
• Familiarity with EHR or clinical workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features on the EHR platform using Ruby on Rails.
• Triage, debug, and resolve production defects with durable fixes.
• Design and implement new features end-to-end from requirements to testing.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews in an Agile team.
