Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Remote, Full-Time Warehouse Robotics ROS Engineer to build, integrate, and operate ROS/ROS2‑powered autonomous mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs) in real fulfillment and distribution environments. You will own production‑grade robotics pipelines from simulation to on‑robot deployment, focusing on safe navigation, reliable localization, and scalable fleet operations.

The role requires strong C++/Python with hands‑on ROS/ROS2 development, SLAM/localization, and robust testing

Qualifications

  • Mid‑Senior experience shipping robotics software to production environments.
  • Strong C++ and Python with hands‑on ROS/ROS2 development.
  • Practical knowledge of SLAM/localization, motion/path planning, and mobile robot navigation.
  • Comfort with Linux tooling, Git, containers, and automated testing/CI workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain ROS2 nodes/packages for mapping, localization (SLAM), navigation, and mission execution.
  • Integrate sensors (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, wheel encoders) and debug timing/TF issues using logs and rosbag.
  • Tune Nav2/navigation stack concepts: costmaps, planners, controllers, and recovery behaviors for warehouse constraints.
  • Validate changes in simulation (Gazebo/Isaac Sim) and deploy safely to physical robots.
