Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Engineer for a remote, full-time role. You will build, integrate, and validate autonomous and semi-autonomous robotic systems across mobile robots, manipulators, and industrial automation. You will deliver production-grade robotics software with strong reliability and real-world robustness.

You will work with ROS/ROS2, sensor fusion, and cross-domain teams to deploy reliable robotics solutions, with a focus on safety and performance in real-world environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics/autonomy production or transitioning research to production.
  • C++ and Python expertise with ROS/ROS2 on Linux.
  • Knowledge of SLAM, TF frames, calibration, and motion planning.
  • Ability to troubleshoot sensors, drivers, and real-time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship capabilities across autonomy software, perception, planning, and controls.
  • Implement ROS/ROS2 nodes and integrate sensors (LiDAR, camera, IMU, encoders).
  • Build SLAM/localization pipelines and contribute to navigation stacks (mapping, path planning).
  • Tune control systems and debug timing/synchronization and integration issues.
  • Validate performance via simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing; define metrics and regression tests.
  • Document interfaces, configurations, and operational runbooks for deployments.
