Job summary

DSV Road US is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth through the acquisition of new customers, reactivation of dormant accounts, and development of customer relationships within the small- and medium-sized customer segment.

This role promotes DSV's road transportation, freight brokerage, and logistics solutions, identifies new business opportunities, develops a pipeline of prospective customers, and converts opportunities into active, revenue-generating accounts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience building customer relationships and supporting revenue growth initiatives preferred.
• Experience working in a KPI-driven, goal-oriented, or customer-focused environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management tools preferred.
• Transportation and logistics industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the small- and medium-sized customer segment and assigned territories.
• Acquire new customers through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and relationship-building activities.
• Reactivate inactive or dormant customer accounts and develop strategies to increase customer engagement and revenue generation.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of small- and medium-sized customer accounts to support revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term business development objectives.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and business opportunities.
• Convert qualified opportunities into active, revenue-generating customer accounts.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing and prospective customer accounts.
• Meet or exceed assigned revenue, customer acquisition, and business growth objectives.
