Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn and perform the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans. You will review client documents, keep clients updated, and assist with year-end filings like the 5500.

Accelerated training leads to growth into more advanced plan administration tasks. You will work with clients across the US, reconciling plans, performing testing, and preparing filings while benefiting from strong training,

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience in benefits administration or related areas.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook for daily tasks.
• Experience with retirement-plan operations, including 401(k) administration and reporting.
• Familiar with reconciliation, 5500 filings, and year-end government reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information for annual reporting.
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans and handle rollovers using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500, and educate clients.
