Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering and testing 401(k) plans. You will review client-submitted documents, communicate progress, and help with year-end reporting, including IRS Form 5500.

You will work from home with accelerated training and cross-functional collaboration, growing toward administering basic plans and ensuring compliance with IRS/DOL regulations while supporting clients nationwide.

Qualifications

1–5 years of adjacent back-office financial operations experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA administration, recordkeeping, 5500 or year-end reporting) preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting.
Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
Use administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
Make reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process.
Prepare required 401(k) plan filings (IRS Form 5500) using filing software.
