Guidant Financial is offering a fully remote Retirement Plan Specialist role, currently recruiting in select US states. You will learn the full 401(k) administration process, review client documents, and prepare year-end filings including Form 5500.

This position emphasizes remote client engagement and accurate reporting through Excel-based tools. You will grow through intensive training, support a nationwide client base, and contribute to our ESOP journey while delivering reliable service and

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure and related regulations preferred.
Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

Work with clients to obtain information to prepare the annual reporting.
Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy.
Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year.
Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500.
Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and documents.
