Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Specialist for a fully remote role across select US states. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans, reviewing client documents, communicating progress, and guiding clients through year-end filings including IRS Form 5500.

You'll work with clients nationwide, using Excel and specialized software to ensure accurate reporting, test results, and compliance, while growing toward more advanced plan administration responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with proactive problem-solving.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, IRS/DOL regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information to prepare annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and admin software.
• Complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 filings.
• Educate clients on 401(k) plan administration.
