Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Specialist to learn and administer 401(k) plans, review documents, and support year-end reporting for entrepreneurial clients nationwide.

You will gain hands-on experience with filing IRS Form 5500, use Excel and administration software, and communicate clearly with clients while growing into broader responsibilities. This full-time remote role offers ongoing training and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
• Make outgoing reminder calls and emails to clients during plan year reporting.
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients regarding plan administration.
