Job summary

ABB Smart Buildings seeks a Residential Specialist to grow the residential product portfolio through the electrical distribution channel in the United States. This role reports to the Residential Sales Manager and focuses on expanding in a defined geography.

You will engage electrical contractors, builders, and channel partners, driving market penetration for residential lines. The position collaborates with Product Marketing for launches, pricing, and market needs, becoming a product champion

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in residential electrical products or construction.
• Experience in technical or field sales within the defined geography.
• Candidates must have US work authorization.
• Understanding of electrical codes for the geographic area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage, maintain relationships, and create market expansion with electrical contractors, builders, and channel partners.
• Drive increased market penetration for residential product lines.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing Management on market feedback, new product launches, pricing strategy, and future product needs.
• Become product champion and educate channel partners and customers on current and upcoming products and trends.
• Understand the competitive landscape and articulate ABB’s value proposition for residential offerings.
