Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Developer to drive renewable energy opportunities in South Africa from a remote position. You will identify sites, conduct feasibility studies, and secure land rights while coordinating with cross-functional teams to move projects toward financial close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years in renewable energy project development with a track record of closing projects.
• Strong knowledge of SA renewable energy market, regulatory framework, and land rights.

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess potential solar, wind, and other renewable energy sites.
• Conduct market research and feasibility studies for project viability and returns.
• Engage with landowners, community leaders, and local government to secure approvals and land rights.
• Lead negotiations for PPAs and related contracts.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and legal teams throughout development lifecycle.
• Develop and manage project budgets and financial models.
• Prepare investment proposals and secure financing.
• Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor progress and ensure milestones are met.
