Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in solar energy.
• Proven PV project delivery from initiation to completion.
• Strong knowledge of solar technology, system design and installation.
• Experience with PMI or Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of solar energy projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage them effectively.
• Coordinate and manage remote teams of engineers, contractors, and installers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards in SA.
• Manage client relationships and provide regular project updates.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Control project scope, schedule, and costs for successful delivery.
• Procure equipment and services, negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits as required (predominantly remote) for progress and quality control.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and productive remote working environment.
• Stay updated on solar technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes.
