About the Role

Our client, a leading independent power producer (IPP) committed to expanding South Africa's renewable energy capacity, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Project Developer specializing in renewable energy. This position is based in Upington, Northern Cape , and offers a fully remote work arrangement, allowing you to manage projects and connect with stakeholders from anywhere within the country. The Project Developer will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new renewable energy project opportunities, from initial site assessment through to financial close. This includes market analysis, stakeholder engagement, securing land rights, and coordinating with technical, legal, and financial teams. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the renewable energy market, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to bring complex projects to fruition. You will be instrumental in driving the growth of our client's project pipeline and contributing significantly to the clean energy transition in South Africa .
