Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a dynamic Manager, Regional Sales – Specialty to lead a field-based team of 8-10 Territory Sales Managers across a defined US Region. This frontline leadership role emphasizes performance, compliance, and building a high-performing sales culture.

The position requires strategic coaching, budget alignment, and collaboration with Market Access, Marketing, Operations, HR and Medical Science Liaison teams to drive product growth in oncology, urology and women's

Qualifications

• A B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales management (first-line leader with direct people accountability) is preferred.
• A proven, consistent, and documented track record of top ranked pharmaceutical performance (ideally top 25% of the nation) is required.
• 3 or more years of Urology experience is preferred.
• 60-80% Travel Required

Responsibilities

• Ensure sales budgets and objectives are achieved/exceeded across each territory and the Region as a whole.
• Coach Sales Professionals with regular, engaging, and tailored coaching focused on sales effectiveness and development.
• Develop and execute Regional sales strategies and tactics with budgets and resources.
• Build relationships with providers and key thought leaders and communicate with SMPA teams.
• Manage operations related to the Region and ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Ensure collaboration between Market Access, Marketing, Operations, HR, Training, Compliance, MSLs and other SMPA teams.
