Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America is seeking a Manager, Regional Sales – Specialty to lead a field-based team of Territory Sales Managers across a defined Region. The role drives territory performance, coaches teams, and ensures compliant execution in a high-growth specialty space.

The position requires a BA/BS and pharma sales leadership experience, with 60–80% travel; Urology experience is preferred. SMPA offers competitive compensation, incentive plans, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales management (first-line leader with direct people accountability) is preferred.
• A proven, consistent, and documented track record of top ranked pharmaceutical performance (ideally top 25% of the nation) is required.
• 3 or more years of Urology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that established sales budgets and objectives are achieved/exceeded across each territory and the Region as a whole.
• Lead the team with 210 Leadership principles, fostering ownership, accountability, and purposeful action based on business opportunities.
• Provide regular coaching of each Sales Professional focused on sales effectiveness and development.
• Assess Region trends and tailor regional sales strategies and budgets to maximize opportunities.
• Create and maintain relationships with providers, KOLs, and customers to stay informed of market needs.
