Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Regional Sales Manager, NGL (Northeast) to lead a team of sales professionals and drive ambitious goals. You will recruit, coach, and manage reps, build territory plans, and ensure accurate CRM usage for forecasting and pipeline visibility.

You will travel to mentor, support, and engage with customers, collaborating with the Director, Sales to set quotas and benchmarks while monitoring market trends and regional performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from a four-year college or university.
• 10+ years of successful consultative sales/business development experience with a proven track record.
• Strong history of coaching and developing sales professionals.
• Strong ability to convey ideas clearly and leadership capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of the educational market and State Adoption processes.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, coaches, and manages all Sales Representatives needed for successful sales campaigns to ensure goal achievement.
• Works closely with each sales representative to build out and maintain territory plans, including identification of top targets/accounts and sales strategies.
• Maintains frequent communication with sales representatives to focus on growing revenue through territory plan reviews and pipeline oversight.
• Ensures team members accurately and consistently maintain their CRM to track adoptions and predict customer needs and build an accurate forecast.
• Travels regularly to mentor and support team members and engage with customers.
• Collaborates with Director, Sales to establish and implement sales territories, quotas, and benchmarks for progress.
• Continuously monitors key market trends and shares valuable insights with the region and leadership.
