Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC seeks a seasoned technical sales professional to drive growth in utilities, industrials, and infrastructure across the western United States. You will manage the full sales cycle, nurture customer relationships, and position automation and communication solutions to increase grid reliability and performance.

The role requires 7+ years in technical sales, deep knowledge of substation automation, and a proven quota-attainment record.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA a plus).
7+ years of technical sales experience (preferably in automation, protection, or communication systems).
Proven track record of quota attainment and new business development.

Responsibilities

Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas by developing new business and expanding existing accounts in the western region.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, deeply understanding needs and aligning solutions.
Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) with accurate forecasting.
Collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering, and channel partners to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities and position Hitachi Energy as a leader in automation and communication.
